Victoria generates circa 187,000 tonnes of textile waste each year or 28kg per person. 23kg of that ends up in landfill. We are working to change that.
Minister Lily D’Ambrosio MP has announced Victoria’s Circular Economy Business Innovation Centre (CEBIC) will focus on our textiles industry.
By promoting:
– Circular design and manufacturing practices
– Reusing and reclaiming material
– Recycling
We can reduce waste and max out reuse.
